From the looks of the photos u might have a bit of rust to sort.

Hope we can help you get it sorted.

A mate of mine does welding for a living so he's up for the challagne. As for the smaller bits how would you suggest I deal with it? Iv got myself plenty of red oxide kicking about (7leters of the stuff) but I'm sure there's more to it then slapping a bit of that on there.

it all depends how rotton it is ;) Either way if the underside is bad it does make it a lot easier if you lift the whole body off.

As you want to use it as a toy I'd suggest going for the virtual lift option, have a look through Dan's thread for ideas on how to do it. it'll mean you can run larger tyres with less lift. http://forum.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/vi ... /start,30/

Also Ferris's and my build have lots of pics, I don't think we cut the the bulkhead out n Dan's like Ferris and I did.

I will know more by tomorrow or Sunday when I pick her up. Any points I should look for apart from the floors arches etc?

Iv had a good look through some of the tech on here and I have to say its all good stuff. Even better with pictures!

Everywhere  the main places they rot are

inner sills
Arches
around where the fuel filler runs through the body
around the section of floor that raises up behind the front seats and around the bodymounts below this (that's the worst bit to repair)

In fact I think my dads SJ is a prime example of everywhere they rot
