Todays work: Roll cage

well its been a long slog, but now the icing has been put on the cage with the alterations made to my roll cage.

A good work base to start

cut the old cage ounts off

Image


Prep the plates
Image


Prep the sliders

Image


Tack it on
Image


Weld it up

Image



and the finished article ready for Sunday

The rear still needs doing but it can wait :wink:

She looks good to me!

wish i had the sam eset up as you, a 'pit' to work in and a barn to do the warm stuff in, i am limited to a block concrete garage with only just enough room down the sides to get the wheels off! and any work underneath is done with me on my back straining my neck!

It does certainly help with having all the room to work. Those ramps are fine with a sj on them, however you do start to feel a bit "un nerved" when there is 14 tonne of tractor on them :|

What kinda tractors do you run?

I used to have a part time job cleaning tractors, mainly Valtras and merlos, before they had services/repairs done to them, so they could be sold or before they were shipped to their new home.

lookin good. if youve got a brain, the right tools and the right space you can do a proper job :mrgreen: . all ive got is the carpark round the back of me local :cry: still its good for a pint wen yove had enuff
