Janspeed exhaust
Janspeed exhaust
Hey everyone I have quick question, i have just brought a full janspeed exhaust for my vitara but I forgot to check if it will fit mine I have a 1.6 8v and the listing just said it was for a 1.6 so my question is does the 8v and 16v engines have the same manifold size and exhaust fitment??

Re: Janspeed exhaust
You may be lucky as I can't find a Janspeed system for the 16v, so hopefully they only made it for the 8v ??????????

Re: Janspeed exhaust
Looking at the manifolds, I'd say that the 16 valve manifold is much better port matched and looks like it's a higher flow manifold in general so probably wouldn't need replacing unless it was for a stupidly tuned engine, in which case the manifold would cost a fortune.
The 8 valve manifold on the other hand is far from port matched and would have bad flow characteristics for cylinders 1 and 4 so I can see that being replaced for a better one just for general use.

There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.
