steering colum

has any one else had a problem with their sj steering colum groaning? when turning??? quick fix?

Mine squeaks :lol: they use nylon/plastic bushes in the column so then these go dry it can squeak.

You could try spraying some gt85 here and here to get into the bushes??

when turning the wheel to full lock then back it groans/ whines

Have you got power steering fitted? if so have you checked the fluid level?

Cool, Just check all the steering joints as well, the Ujs on the steering column in the engine bay can go stiff sometimes as well, never heard them groan before though.

try toping up the steering box with sae 90 if its empty as the seals maybe leaking
