Another new member from Swindon with a problem

Post by 966gordo » Fri Feb 01, 2013 6:36 am

Hi all, I'm now the proud owner of a 2 ltr vitara and I'm loving it apart from the smokescreen emitted when warming up and occasionally when pulling away when warm. Hopefully will solve the problem today with a good service , any advise welcome ?? Would I be right in saying they suffer from problems with the valve stem oil seals and head gasket problems ?

Cheers Dan

Hi from another Swindon member.

Head gaskets not that common. The valve stem seals on the older engines were a pretty common fault. Dont know whether they have been improved in the newer engines.
