Hello from Northampton.

Post by will » Sun Feb 17, 2013 6:54 pm

Hi, new member here.
Just got back into having a SJ after many years.
Was looking at getting a standard one and doing it up but then one came along almost as I wanted it.
Would have been silly not to get it.
Will have to do stuff to it though to make it mine. 8-)

Anyone else on here in the Northampton area?

Welcome to the forum, looks really tidy and solid! Just a tad tall in my opinion, but I do like my SJs with minimal lift though, if the tyres still clear without the body lift I think it would feel a lot more stable offroad

I think it looks great, I bet you feel king of the road when your driving that eh? what lift does it have? I'm guessing it's the 5" Calmini reverse shackle lift with a body lift? I have to say IMHO the calmini kit is a better option than SPOA, more pics?

Spot on Tramp, calmini 5" with about 1 1/2" body lift.
ScottieJ, love the look of yours.
Dont think mine will ever see any serious off road use. Just a toy for road, green lane and getting to my shooting ground.

Haha good guess! The calmini sticker in the window gave it away ;)

What do you think to the Calmini kit? I have the 3.5" kit and its was quite hard, I also had a bit of lean going on where the drives side sat lower than the passengers, did you have this?
