Well since its been a wet old week, little has been done. However i have managed to get some painting done on the engine.
I did that on thursday and i put the top coat of red on it today (no pics)

Rear stripped for new lights,
Exhaust painted,
New cone for manifold
Engine now all the paint is dry and rocker gasket fitted
Box and engine ready to go in :-ss
Then engine was put in with the gear box. And then this!
Thats the up down chain on the block and tackle! So i had to pick the engine up off the mounts again to slide the chain out so the block and tackle where free!
I also got the exhaust on, inlet manifold, alternator, PAS, and some pipe work.

Well, as some may know ive been having starter motor problems. Luckily i have sent one away to a company in North Wales, who should (fingers crossed touch wood) be able to repair it. Now that is under way i got in the mood again and started on other stuff.
As stated above, im putting the rear disc conversion kit on the sj. While i was in there i thought i will put new bearings, seals, locking collars and a different diff in the rear axle.
The current diff was leaking out of the prop flange, so kindly George gave me another diff (in unknown condition :? ) and some other shafts to push my new bearings on.
My local garage who have sourced all my bits got the bearings and all that came with it. They also let me use their press to put the bearings onto the shafts...
I bought them home and George and I started to strip the sj so we could put the new shafts, and kit on.
The diff popped out with a bit of persuasion from the BFH!
Now all the kit got put on. I must say i was dreading doing all of this, but once i got stuck in it was fine! :-bd
I put the Disc from a donor axle on it. I dont know what they are like, but i carnt afford new ones yet. Hopefully they will polish up once used.
Im still looking about for callipers and all the gubbings, there are a number of breakers on Ebay. Some want stupid money some are reasonable.

More has been done today.
Rear axle filled with EP90.
And the new rear number plate (other one was cracked) and different rear lights also fitted. I still need to fit the fog light, just need to rear up on its positioning.
So now left to do is..
- Find and fit Rover 600 rear brake calipers
- Make a mount/attachment for the rear
- Wire up the rear lights and position fog light
- Collect and fit refurbished skinny starter motor
- Make new brake lines for rear axle
- Go round with the grease gun on joints, props ujs ect
- Take roof to be welded/stitched back together
- Paint and fit rims
- Good steam clean inside and out, with a bit of polish
- Service engine
The end is getting closer!!

Well thought i best do some more if i ever want the dam thing to be finished! 
After moving all the air lines, compressor, paint and gun up to home because of the rain, i cracked on!
A friend of mine got some car rim acid on them, this got rid of all the brake dust, surface rust ect, and it also made sanding easier.However it still took a good couple of hours to get the rims sanded down to somewhere near, using fine grade foam sanding blocks.
So with them all clean i set about spraying them in the first coat of primer (just one side for now)

looking good mate! I know how you feel my truck is slowly coming along! I spent the whole of saturday sanding down the body on mine ready for primer only to then run out of primer before i even finished the main body 
i had a horrible feeling i didn't order enough paint!

I know what you mean, then you try and thin it too much to make it go a little further and its no good!
