410 BullBars on a Sammy?

Post by mk1joe » Sun Apr 14, 2013 9:36 am

Hello,
I want to put my old 410 bull bars on my samuria, but i think the brackets bolt to the outside of the chassis rails on the 410, and on the sammy thats where the spring hanhers are.

is there a special pair of brackets to buy to do this or did the samurais have a different type of bull bars.

has anyone done this before and made brackets to fit it?

Thanks for the help guys!
Joe

I can't find any different brackets for the Samurai.
I have no idea if there are different bars for different models.
Only found one photo of somebody's modified bracket.
To me it just needs spacing out with whatever suitable steel you have available.
There not very strong anyway so I don't really see a spacer weakening things.
Either that or cut them off and weld some flat bar in to step them over ??

The bull bar brackets are different, the samurai ones are bent to mount on the inside of the chassis rails, kind've like the ones in the picture that darrell posted but just bent up out of one piece of plate. some also have different bolt hole spacing so you need to drill out the mounts to fit the other type, I found this out when I went to fit the bull bars off my LWB samurai onto karis's SJ410

I was quite impressed Darrell. You googled images and diagrams with measurements quicker than Luke got a photo of a set he has up.
