LJ insurance

Post by watola » Tue Apr 16, 2013 7:22 pm

Hey guys,

What are your quotes for insurance on your LJ?
I rang up my car insurance and they quoted me £425 for the year. Considering I'm 21 I thought this was quite a good deal. I haven't looked around yet...

The reason I ask is I hope to have mine up and run by June. Stoked!

I wouldn't complain with that quote :doublethumbs:

Seriously though I think it's about time we see a build thread for this mystery LJ :thefinger:

I want to see pictures!!!!!!

I'm just going to swap my classic car insurance over from my morris minor, only cost £75, but I also have a main car on a seperate policy, which is why its cheap.

Your quote doesn't sound bad though, my daughter was paying £1200 for a Fiesta a seven years ago.

Are you in York, just i notice you have your location as York City and I spend most of my working day driving round York and I can normally sniff out an LJ from 10 miles away but I havn't seen one in the 8 years I've been there.

I am in York but my anus isn't :( It's in mid Wales being restored to a road worthy standard then hopefully to a show room standard (well i can dream)

haha, my elusive lj, I should hopefully be able to get some pics up soon!

and if that seems a good quote then I can't wait to try some comparison sites!

You'll have to let me know if you bring it up to York so I can have a look, I'd show you mine buts its up in Bishop Auckland still in bits!!! By the way I've been in touch with someone who works at the railway museum who's got an LJ as well, but he laid it up over 20 years ago. It would be good to see all three of them running round York though. A good few years ago there were 3 of them running round Bishop Auckland and they'd all belonged to me at various times!!!

I assume your a student, cos if you are that quote looks even better, students normally get hammered for car insurance.

Yeah, that'd be really cool having an enthusiast take a look! could give me some tips! As for suzuki spotting in york I've never seen any LJ's and I've lived there all my life :(

3 LJ's?! do you have any pictures? that sounds awesome!

Yeah, I'm a postgrad student so i think that's lowered it a bit, being an undergrad makes the price ridiculous!

I'm actually based in York but come from Bishop where I still have a couple of lock ups with the LJ's in as well as hugh quantities of SJ parts!! I'm up most weekends as I have a son, daughter and grandson there, well Shildon and Crook to be precise.

Hope this works on my phone. Anyone needing any spares? The canvas top intrigues me...
