waffle boards on a vitara
waffle boards on a vitara
ive just got a set of waffle boards just in case, plus they were cheap and only up the road to collect
but where should i mount them on my vitara .
its a swb soft top pick up converted, the boards are too long to fit in the pick up back and i would prefer not to take up the space in the back.
i have them on the side at an angle at the moment but they look a bit odd there imo,and i still have the spare wheel on the back door so they cant go there.
im a bit stuck for ideas so i was hoping one of you may have a good idea about where to put them/a photo of a swb vitara with them on.

On the top like a fire engine?

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

No room on the bonnet. Do you really need to mount them? Just chuck them in the back when you go off road or ask someone else to take them in a bigger car.
If not you could make some mounts to go on the rear tail gate...but you might have to relocate the spare to the inside, unless you can make something that will clear the spare tyre.

If it ticks over...leave it

the bonnet on the vitara isn't flat either so they wouldn't mount well on there.
i would rather have them mounted if i can, then they are on and are always there if i need them and i don't have to worry about them bouncing around in the back.
if i cant find a way of mounting them that i like i will just strap them in the back when i need them.

You've truck cabbed yours right? What about across the top of the bed then?

Photos of how you've got them now. If its pickup'd id mount them in the bed resting on the back of the cab.

Re: waffle boards on a vitara
they wont fit in the back very well (too long) and with it being such a small space they take up a lot of room.
they look a bit odd on the side but its the most practical place i have found so far.
