[quote="The Heretic"]1700 or so miles in an SJ? Could be 'interesting'! So you live pretty much exactly the opposite side of Shipka compared to us as the crow flies. On that note, this was outpr wee trip to Shipka.

Hi no I dont live there at the moment, but get out there every year for an extended holiday, I have been up into the mountains around Hissariya at the back of the village (Kliment) on an off road bike and also in the back of an old Russian anus, and also been up above Sopot on the chair lift, and seen all off the logging trails, so would love to get the SJ over there to play.
The plan was originally to trailer it over (I built a 4 wheel trailer) on the back of an old cheapish shogun or pajero then sell the tow vehicle, but it never hallened.

It looks like the SJ will be over to Bulgaria within the next couple of weeks, I have found someone
(through a friend of my wife) who is able to transport it over for me, not sure if its in a truck or on a trailer at the moment, he is coming round on sunday to work out the details.
If all goes to plan he will be leaving on the 15th and I am already going out on the 20th so we should arrive in the village at about the same time. I am looking forward to getting it out there and having a play amongst the fire trails in the wooded hills at the back of the village.

Not jealous at all Mike. Hope it all goes well. Not sure about everyones location out there but sounds like there may be enough for an SCUK Bulgaria bash. Lol.

Thanks for all the good wishes, I will let you all know if its going ahead after the guy has confirmed he is taking it.
As for a road trip out there its a great idea but a hell of a drive in an SJ, but well worth it when you get there (i was thinking of driving it over as an option, but thought better of it and I think it will work out cheaper this way in the long run)
I will take photos when I am out there and you will see that it is a great place for an SJ ( as you will have already seen from the heretics posts). I will start a new thread on the general posts, when I have more info.
