Hi all, back at it again maybe :)
Hi all, wolly here again after many many many years off the SJ scene and off roading actually.
I thought i would join up again to see whats happening and see if i can be tempted more to get another project on the go.
My last SJ was a LWB sammy with a 1.9TD pug engine and all the other bits to go with, i am tempted again by the same setup as it was great allround,a bit hard on the cobble roads as i had fitted rascal leafs, unlikely doing this now though as they are getting even harder to find. I fitted a Colonge V6 to it aswell before i fitted the diesel.
I have a 1998 2.8TD shogun at the minute and its the longest thing i have owned for 12months, but i could be tempted to sell to get a project going.........mite be , but it is a nice drive and cheap as chips, literlly
So come on covince me to get out and play again chaps, had some good times in old Godzuki
wolly

back wolly
Cool to see you're thinking about another SJ, longwheelbases are getting harder to find in good condition but they are still about, I can't wait to get mine finished

Hi Scottie, i have seen some in the past go cheap on ebay, i say cheap, they were to me, but as always its never when you want one, now i do..........
I know a chap that said he is selling one soon but i waiting for details, a chassis will do with V5 and i can build from there. Just my opinion, but you can beat a good LWB hey

I've seen Pete's (Xamtex) LWB and it was pretty nice as far as I can remember, here's a few pics, don't know if it still has the same parts fitted?
It's like any SJ though the number one enemy is rot, I picked up my lwb for £250 however I also need to spend at least 6 weekends welding it up

Well would you believe its Xamtex that mite be selling a LWB, could well be that one, he said its a project so he mite of stripped it or fettled it.
Edit to say
just realised he offered it me ages ago, so i guess he didnt sell it, i bet he sold the parts a she said he didnt know what to do with it, either break or MOT it etc. he mite PM later.

I saw his reply on difflock I often browse on there but rarely post anymore, it's not the same as it used to be, bit of a shame really but that's the way forum's go sometimes.waynesworld wrote:Well would you believe its Xamtex that mite be selling a LWB, could well be that one, he said its a project so he mite of stripped it or fettled it.
I might be a bit bias but this is the place to be if you own and SJ

Welcome to SCUK.
Sounds like your old motor was pretty tidy. Good look finding a project LWB. They are rare but complete LWBs can be picked up for literally a couple a hundred.

It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out
