Saying Hello - new 2003 XL-7 Owner

Post by BexXL-7 » Mon Jan 13, 2014 4:59 pm

Hello! My name is Rebecca and bought my low mileage XL-7 in May last year. My main issue at the moment is that apparently no new head unit will fit in the opening, or so several car audio outlets tell me! I wanted to fit a double din unit but after much sucking of air through teeth I've been told it's not possible and neither will a single din fit either. Help!!

Yeah it looks too small for a double din and too big for a single din...

Have you looked at adapters like this?

The audio shop I took it to yesterday told me it was too small an opening for a single din too?!

It's the stock radio that came with the vehicle. I can measure it.

That must be as wide as a standard head unit. Would never get a CD in it otherwise.
