Hello Everyone

Post by Sparrowhawker » Wed Apr 23, 2014 7:36 pm

Hi everyone my names Melvyn and i live in the Scottish Borders. I have been into Suzuki's from a young age being round SJ and Vitaras which must of rubbed of on me.
Im disabled after being trampled by a horse in a stable at work which resulted in me suffering crushed nerves in my left foot resulting in me in near constant pain, so i struggle to walk any real distance.
My plan is that i want to get a early Automatic Suzuki Vitara so im able to get out and about in the local fields so i can fly my falcon.
So i hope to be able to get help advice from you guys....

Welcome to the forum, not good news regarding being crushed by a horse,i reckon that sounds like a good idea to transport the falcon around.I basically use my Vitara just to move all my metal detecting gear around at the weekend so that i can get on and off filelds at the end of each day, also i keep bees and the Vitara is great for moves the hives around to various sites that i use.

Is it just the one hawk that you fly or do you have other, would love to see a few pictures of such a beautiful bird of prey in action.

Welcome to the club buddy.

Falconry eh? Im more of a cat person, even the owl displays freak out. Maybe I've seen The Birds too many times, but I'm sure if i had any form of bird, even a budgie the damn thing would be aiming to peck my eyes out.

They move fast, flap about, make strange high pitched squawk noises, even had a parrot in a public aviary tell me to F#¥k off one day.

As for your choice in automobile, impeccable! Lugging stuff round, suitable for fields and tracks but nothing to extreme, easy to maintain is Vitara all the way.

Thanks for the kind welcome guys, i think i may of found the forum Ive been looking for.. I used to have several Harris hawks but with my foot pain not going to get better i decided to re-home all bar one as i don't believe a bird should sit on its perch 24 7 they should be flown. Anyway scroll to the now and a fly a 90 gram American falcon and I also have a European eagle owl and a British barn owl which are the loves of my life... When i work things out i will put a photo of each on here so you guys can see... I don't know if i am allowed to ask or not if not i am sorry and i will remove straight away, but If anyone sees in a advert classified etc for a 90s automatic vitara in as solid a condition as possible as i plan to keep it for many many years and mod it to my needs could let me know i would be beyond grateful, thanks again for the welcome
