Cheers Jordi,

Yeah here in Malta it doesnt rain that much, and there is never Ice so no salt on the roads.. cars are V expensive here so people tend to look after them more than in the UK. Its common here to find cars over 15 years old without any rust at all. :)

It looks great, I like it, how much is 'very expensive'? In the uk they are cheap but often need welding, when you get it out on the road you'll have to take some more pictures, how old is it?

Its a 1992 model. I paid €900 for it, which in queens english is about 700 quid i think? It has:
  • New leather seats (fresh from upholsterer)
5 Brand new tyres still with the strips going round them
New steel front and rear bumpers
    new headlights
    NO RUST!
    46000km on the clock
The bad bits i think are that it only goes 40mph top when it should be about 60, so maybe the carb/timing needs looking at and there is an oil leak on one of the hub seals.

Twiss, If you come over let me know so i can help sort you out some good, cheap accommodation! If you get a Gypsy for rent then we have to go for a bit off road!

As promised, now its on the road, i took some more pics (my dad is in the car not me :) ) .

I took the car to the closest beach that allows cars on the sand cause i wanted to make sure the 4x4 worked. I put it in 4L and pulled off pretty fast with my dad watching from outside and sure enough, all 4 wheels spun in the sand!! so that was a result!

Straight after taking these pictures i got in the car and tried to pull away in 2H and it got stuck, just dug holes with the rear wheels. Then put it in 4L and it just flew out of its holes and we were on our way. Im so happy with it!! There is after all a bit of rust but nothing major/structural and i got a rumbling noise coming from the front left wheel.. but ill search/start a thread about that.

PICS!! :

I'll definitely have to come over now lol
I would absolutely love some topless Mediterranean zook/gypo action!!!
I usually end up around St. Pauls Bay/Buggiba

Whereabouts are you on the island? Please don't say Gozo! ;)

I know its pretty dry over there but I would get yourself some AT tyres for sand and rocks ;)

I live in Ghaxaq, about 4km from the airport. Yeah these tyres are brand Spankin new and actually grip better than I was expecting. But later when funds allow I will get something more at.
