you would need the leafspring mount (that squashs the leaf spring between the perch) as well as it has the threaded holes that the roll bar mounts to,
er another thought you would need a 413 one (if they even did these?) as the axles on the sammy is wider and thus wouldn't fit

Okay, stuff that idea then. I'll not bother with an anti-roll bar. I thought it might just bolt on. If I've got to change axels and stuff, I'll not bother. It was only a thought anyway.

There is no escape from the dreaded tin worm
Still only very minor stuff though. I would still be well happy with it if i were you.
Once you get those few bits sorted it will be pretty much perfect.

Hey peeps, todays fiddlings:
Oiled driver's side mirror mounting. It was very stiff and squeaked loudly, so I worked a dab of oil in and it's now smooth and quiet, and still stiff enough to hold itself in place, but can be moved without undue force.
We finally cleared enough space in the garage to fit the SJ in, so it's inside now, away from yobo's with screwdrivers and Icelandic volcano ash.
I have also spent about 3 or 4 hours cleaning, rewiring and sealing the fog lights. At some point, a previous owner had fitted an extra aftermarket lamp on the passenger side, and spliced it to the original.
The wires between the splicing and the aftermarket lamp had been run along the crossmember that the tow bar bolts to, which the exhaust is also rubbing against. The exhaust heat and caused the wires to melt and corrode etc. so the new lamp didn't work. I removed those wires, cleaned up both lamps thouroughly, as one was full of surface rust and the other was dirty and had a bit of rust and water inside. I sealed them back up, putting vaseline in all the joins where water might get in.
I then ran some household 240v cable taken from a defunked hoover across the rear crossmember, but made sure to keep it away from the exhaust by looping it behind and over the top of the crossmember. The cable's attatched to the wires it needs to be via chock blocks, which I've wrapped generously in gaffa tape to keep them water tight. Finally, I used a few cable ties to hold everything in place.
I know it's a bit of an essay, but hey, nevermind. Let me know if I've done anything blaringly wrong, or things I could do etc.

Yer anti roll bars are a no -go im afraid for you , as Luke says why.
Sounds like your exhaust is incorrectly fitted, or the wrong type?
It shouldnt be rubbing up to the chassis or anything else for that matter.
Just a thought, terminal blocks, should be advoided if possible, either solder connections or crimp them, also use a heat shink sleeve to protect it where its been done.

agreed, Although I have tried soldering the cables but unfortunatly if they are outside ones youve pretty much buggered it, when the copper cores go black you won't be able to get the solder to stick, better off crimping them, I should add, Even though gaffa tape is pretty good, I can vouch for self amalgamating tape, that seals really well and doesnt age like the other tape which looses its stickinees after a while,dominic wrote:

and as for the exhaust, Im with Dom sounds like either the wrong one or maybe a mount has broke?
