well went out this morning got me some wire (and spare gas cos you know what would happen if I didn't!) and finished off the boot :weld:

as you can see more rust along the bottom of the doorframe so patched up the two larger holes and was left with this

thinking to myself how in the hell do I fill that :er: well this is what I came up with seems to do the job! :D

another conundrum how do I work with the body mount?? well this is what I've thought, here's my template where the arrow is is the top of the bolt of the mount gonna cut a hole in the plate and weld round it here think that should do it?

the other side also rusted in same spot! but thankfully not as bad! I must admit when I saw this hole first I did think its ebay for you!! :pissed: but I think I've gone to far already to back out now! especially with all the bits I've got for it, so after a quick dig round the front floor, sills etc finding no further rust I decided just to carry on after all its only a little more welding! :hahaha:

I reckon it will be alright welding that bolt to the plate! Might make it a bit more difficult if you ever remove the body haha

I've found a set of Vit calipers in my bits, but they're not stripped and reconditioned, so they may not be any better than the ones you have!

Nice to see the progress continuing. Some pretty tidy patchwork, presume you've sealed all the underside of them too?
