An X 90 is basically a Vitara SWB Coupé right? If you can't just drop out the prop, what about fitting free wheeling front hubs?

Problem with fwh is they can altered to be on all the time even when they say free

I read a big article about using X90s as rally cars... but I think it may have to be a model that was 2wd originally.
May be worth checking that in the rally regulations before splashing out on the 4wd model

4 WD cars have to be mechanically converted to two wheel drive - you can not just say you will not move the lever ! I don't think I need the extra weight of the front driven wheels / transfer box so will buy a two wheel drive model.

Weight would be my primary concern. Also transfer box gears sap power. Could do without that too.

Is this for the Exeter trial? I know that there are a few X90s running in that event.
