I got one from Japanese 4x4 it cost around £120 including delivery, mine is a Spanish 410 though but I think the jap ones are similar price.

I have heard of people getting them made up with removeable joints on each end, with the threads being cut by an engineering shop. I have been told the balljoints of a 80's series landcruiser will fit. they have the funny double one, as well as the singles, and also have the same taper, so there's no too many fitment issues

I haven't bought it myself but a friend of mine just bought one for about €65... I'm going to get one and will see how much they are to ship to the uk

The 80 series TRE's have a large taper compared to the Suzuki ones and the knuckles need to be reamed out to the correct size, the reamer on its own is around £50

its amazing you can easily get quite a few parts here that are difficult to find the UK... usually same day off the

so what I've been told isn't entirely accurate, story of a lifetime. still could be a good thing to convert to run cruiser tre's, as they are a lot beefier than the sj ones
