Also with a manual boost controller you can turn it right down to stop ya spinning in mud and then crank it right up for blasting about in.

hii.....i'm very excited abt the prospects of the use of a turbo, since i happen to have an old CT9 turbo laying around(from the toyota starlet 4EFTE engine).. however i do have a couple of worrys. firstly, can the internals handle the added boost that would be present? how do i get enough fuel to run with the increased air to get the correct mixture? and would the sj radiator be sufficient to cool the increased heat generated by the turbo charger?

BUT WHY ??????? I reqally don't see the point of a turbo on a SJ

Allard used to sell a turbo for all versions of the sj engine, i dont know if they still do but allard are certainy still trading,

on another note, webber carbs come with a plenum chamber for use with turbos, i was also looking at SU carb metro turb plenums the other day, i dont see how they actually help ut it looked pretty cool
