The Sexuki
Re: The Sexuki
Next up i had a crack at the electrics, what a nightmare... None of the indicators worked, no horn, no brake lights, no rear lights, no fog or reverse lights either. Took me half a day of cleaning contacts and resoldering all those ridiculous rotten earth straps on the light clusters to make them work. No pics though sorry. No pics of the fuel lines I had to completely redo either...
Unbelievably it sailed through it's mot (2nd time, one indicator bulb out, damn things)
Got an advisory for the useless handbrake but that's it!!
Just need a cheap ass black soft top now and paint up the wheels black.
The wheels on it in the pics are my mums winter insa saharas off her jimny, awesome Tyres!

Forgot to say, out on the road, it's fun but hilariously loud! It makes a horrendous whining noise!
It could have something to do with the fact that when I went to change the fluid in the transfer case, I cracked the sump nut with an expectant oil catch tub under it, but nothing came out apart from a small amount of muddy sludge!! Filled it up and it all leaked on the floor as all the bolts that hold the two halves of the case together were'nt even finger tight!
Still leaks a bit now!
Maybe need to buy some of them add a leafs too, the suspension is almost on the 'lowered' side.
Any thoughts on all this would be very much appreciated
Cheers
Jody

Re: The Sexuki
Thanks for all the comments dudes
Gonna just drive it for now, Kirton off road centre is just up the road from me so going to get up there for some hilly mud action hopefully....
Will have a look on fleabay for a t box, can't imagine they will be crazy money.
Need to find someone who knows their way about round this way to show me the ropes, so it gets used properly!

It's looking squeaky clean Jodi! Nice job!
Those seats seem to fit nicely.

There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: The Sexuki
thats fucking tidy.
like it.... the original pics.. wow what a rot box.. i i didnt think there was anything as rusty as mine.. haha.
looks really good.
before yougo crazy with the suspension, i suggest getting it road legal and driving it as is.. then start playing bit by bit and feel the difference.
my carb was crap and i didnt free wheeling hubs.. i fitted an SU carb and the hubs.. fuel economy has improved hella lot.
if you get the hubs, theres a few types.. theres ones with nothing written on them, they are ok, but gunge up quick and theres ones with AISIN written on them.. they are better (aperently)
eitherway great build.
oh and by the way
oooooh question... on the front, below your frotn bumper.. whats those things sticking out (not the shackles)
