take it they arnt to good on fuel then?
I get about 25mpg in my current car so as long as its better than that id be happy.
Yeah thats why i wouldnt really want to heavily modify one dude, would still want to keep it half decent for a daily drive.
You may be disappointed then 25mpg is about average for a standard SJ, as soon as you start modding it, it goes down hill! Eddies been averaging 30 recently which is quite momentous and really out of character!

Again thanks for the welcome and advice guys.
after whats been said i think im going to go for a vitara, granted the SJ may be the better off road and if i wanted something solely for that i would definitely go for the SJ but i think for combined daily driving and some off roading fun the vitara wins it for me.
Going to save for a few more months so i can get a decent one. Going to purchase some bits and bobs over the next few days ready for when i get one though, after all the searching and looking at builds iv got the bug big style haha
what is the biggest tyre size i could go on a standard VIT ? Got some SJ wheels today. Am i right in thinking the standard tyre size is 195/80/15?

195/15 is the standard size yes, I have 215's on my vit which gives it about 2" of lift, think you might squeeze 235's in there too.

Hi
whereabouts are you? There is a vit round the corner from me for £475 that doesn't look to rusty
