I'm 6ft and I doubt I could lay out in my swb samurai, personally if I was camping I'd want a tin top to keep the heat in soft tops are always cold and fiberglass hard tops just look pants imho, unfortunately they don't do lwb tin tops. I'm sure someone on here (or difflock) had a regular tent which they set up on their swb tin tops roof when camping

Blimey lol. Where did you see it ebay?
6k to fix it up how i like lol.
Im in the vw syncro scene and they cost so much. You would spend £5k if your lucky on a rusty syncro then have to spend approx £10k to fix it up.
Hence the suzuki interest + i love em.
Yeh id like a tin top. I didnt realise they dont do lwb tin tops.

Unfortunately not its a shame really, most UK lwb's have fiberglass hardtops. Post a pick of your syncro? although we all like suzukis were a pretty eclectic bunch and like all different types of car, 6k should get you a fantastic SJ, if i was you id bide my time good SJs do come up on eBay from time to time and don't be tempted by a project!

A 6 grand budget for a zuk. I could pay someone else to do the work and use new parts.
But where would the fun and satisfaction be?
The hours spent on long nights, just thinking about going out to the garage to decide what to grind, weld or hammer next.
I'll be amazed if you can lie down in a lwb though. Volvo estate is 6ft from inside of door to back of front seats. That was a car you could sleep in.

Yeh i would want to do the work myself. Maybe apart from a engine conversion:(
I need just enough space from behind the front seats to the back door.
As long as i can curl up thats cool.
Just need to find a lwb. I will retro fit a tin top i think.
Lots and lots of ideas.

U sir are very lucky the Mrs dosent browse the forum too often!!!
Can anyone remember how much that one with 6k on the clock that had been garaged for eternity and only used with that fellas camper went for? Dont think that was more then £4k so you just need to wait for the right one.
