welcome to the club mate.
I would just get some sheet metal, and cut your rust out, and cut patches to fit in, and weld them in, have a look at some of the other build threads, and you'll see how some other people have done it, to give you some ideas

maybe a su carb? you could even go for things like a rollcage, winch, or just a little lift to get some more articulation. the options are endless really, you decide :D
