Personally I'd just get it home and enjoy it for a bit, there's not a huge need to jump straight in and fit a 1.6, take it out with the 1.3 and have a play first :thumbup:

The 1.6 will just get you to 70 faster, to be honest that's about as fast as you'll want to drive it and it won't be going that fast very often :lol: has it got lift shackles fitted? If so I would remove them straight away and fit some standard ones if you want to drive it fast. I've had my SJ up at 80 before and let's just say you don't want a lapse in concentration :lol:

As for the conversion itself if you get a kit it's pretty much just an out and in job, the wiring is the same you just ideally need a 'skinny' starter to save any messing about grinding the block and starter for clearance. If its got lift springs on it you shouldn't even need to swap the sump or modify the oil pick up pipe to do so.

Hello ! Yeh thanks for that it dose look smart , I've never driven one so lets hope I like it ! Im getting it wednesday night. The guy I bought from says its not to be used as a two and from vehicle!!?? What's your thought on that quote?? (Anyone?)
Mmmm weld one up , cheap as chips like the idea custom built roof rack!
My mate did say that today about welding something up!
Anyone no the law on spot lights above the windscreen e.g size or anything ????

Forgot to say about the rust ain't really seen any as it was caked in mud so fingers crossed it ain't to bad , apparently it's been washed now and ill have a good look Wednesday when I pick it up what's the hotspots for rust ??

Thanks for that boss! I ain't got a clue about my truck! saw it fell in love asked the fella if he'd sell it and said yes so I'm going in blind! Ill no abit more when I get it wed nite!

The hot spots are around the arches behind the seats foot wells
I don't know the law about spot lights but don't have them to big
