How much do you think it's worth? Good lj's go for good money but with yours I'm not sure, what horrors lie underneath the chequer plate? If its got tax test and is good to go even with crusty sills and extra bonnet vents I'd say say £1000-£2000 if its solid and had the original bonnet and no chequer plate and the original engine I'd guess £2000 to £4000 - if it was totally original with less than a 1000miles I'd be guessing £6000+

Thanks littlesammy but no, wouldn't want to rob your kids of there favorite toy !

Tramp, thank you for your input I now have a ball park idea anyhow

I only planned on doing a bit of a tidy up to put her back on the road n do a bit of off roading again, just got carried away. I used checker plate on the door bottoms to cover the weld repairs on one side and a little rust one the other . The sills are solid but not genuine, the sin covered there is the uneven surface behind the right door caused by welding the panel on. And finally the wing tops I did to tidy them up as I did make these myself years ago , I'll put some before & during pics on.

Actually took most of the car back to bare metal & painted all of it with a rust treatment . The only filler on her is on the windscreen surround base over the re plating at the top of the right hand bulk head where I cut out and replaced the where the seem is.

Do also have a good standard bonnet that will go with it as well as a pair of average doors. Sadly I didn't keep the original engine & box when I put the nissan in , Kick myself every time I think about that !

Looks like that was a serious restoration. Sounds like you put a lot of effort in to get it solid again.

:welcome: That's a cool little LJ.

I think Luke's pretty spot on. you could easily fetch 1000-2000 for it. Would be perfect for someone who wants an LJ that they can play with a bit more. I've seen original ones that are complete but in need of restoration go for around £1500

Not sure it would fetch much more than that though as the rear side panels and wings etc aren't original and a lot of buyers want them with all the original details and dimples.

You never know though, the right buyer might be willing to pay more.

Hi All .

Thanks guys for all your input . have finally got around to to putting a classified add on Ebay . Hopefully I can claw back some of the cost of the rebuild . I put it on at £2250 with offers considered ! Have had the number plate valued at 500+ so added that to the price .

If it doesn't sell I can always relist at a lower price later ! Again thanks for your help :salute:
