Hello Everyone, how are you?

Today I spent a bit of time addressing the suzuki now that it is mot'd and road legal again.

So after a horrid drive to my friends house where i could only get anywhere with the choke on, i needed to address the SU.

so i started by replacing the CB radio, that was easy and this one works.

then i got my mates gas analyser out of its hole and plugged it in, 1 hour later it was calabrated and i shoved it up the exhaust hole, now admittedly i had played around with it a bit since the mot as it passed with the chock still on at 2.05% so i had fixed he sticking choke and richened up the mix a bit. to make it drivable, and i was better but still crap.

so the reading, 10.9% (a bit rich) set it back to 3.5 had a drive and was rubbish. me starting to get really disappointed then urns around to find my friend handing me a couple of needles, so i pull mine out and find it is he fattest SU needle I have ever seen no wonder it didnt run right. anyway, i looked at the other needles, one was waffer thin, he other was half and half, fitted it, set he co to 3.5% and went for a drive.

well to say it is like a different truck is another storey. smooth, torquey and what i expected it should be like, still find 6000 rpm hard to get, but hen my engine is a missmatch (16v botom end with an 8v head, don't ask, was't me that did it)

anyway on the long drive home i did a test. 5th gear, 50mph (on the gauge) and floored it, took 5 seconds to get to 60, shifted into 4th and gunned it, and say 70 in seconds, so should be right as rain.

stopped off on the way home to try my luck on some placed concrete lumps to see how it would do now it has correct length shocks and springs.

i was pleasently supprised, still got to add bumpstops on the front so wont be as much but still not bad, does drive fantasically now.
