not the fastest days work today mainly due to a massive hangover and only 5 hours sleep but I feel like ive reached a turning point with only the front floorwells to go before starting the arches.
anyone got any advice on the best way to tackle the area where the speedo cable runs in the floorwell. its well rotten all along there. would prefer to totally remove it but I dont know what it will be like to cut out in the corners.

Dan your welding is coming along nicely
looking good, when do you want me to pop round to help with the arches?
What a crime those Rossini vits are quite rare
there's a guy who just joined who could do with the drivers side front wing if its good

It was in reynors breakers (swindon metal recycling) But it was pretty much just the body left as they stripped a few bits aswell. Might still be there though!
Im going away this Saturday for a week but according to the BBC long range forecast High pressure will bring more settled weather to the South during the 2nd half of this month!!
Im working every weekend from the 1st of October till the 5th of November so I only have 2 free. Either the 17th-18th or 24th-25th September so lets wait and see what the weather does!
Its £450 a weekend so im sure all my hard work will buy me some shiney stuff! (Winch, Difflock, Hardend rear halfshafts, 33's!!!)

Cool man,I wouldn't worry about rear halfshafts with 33s to be honest, it's the front shafts and Cvs you need to upgrade, think it works out around £300/350 to import some from the states
I should have some uprated axles for mine soon so will prob end up selling the 33s for some 35s if you are interested in some buckshots

to me logic would be that if i fitted a rear locker the extra stress would be on the rears?
suppose the cv's could be a weak spot though.
either way i wanna chuck some extra £££ at it to justify all the weekend work!
might well be interested in the buckshots!
just cant wait to get the body solid as i will happily do the mechanical stuff regardless of the weather!

I missed the difflock bit
but I still think the rears will be on 33s locked, those shafts are suprisingly strong.
Don't forget gearing as well, you'll need to drop it a bit for 33s a rocklobster or some 4.6 vit ring and pinions will do that nicely
