Not all cages are created equal. Use the right tube and they shouldn't be that heavy.

Very true. But the point I'm trying to make is why have one unless you plan on doing some very extreme off roading. Remember those Land Rover twerps at MGW? All with full cages and they'll never ever see mud.
(still laughing at my 1am mad dash to plant SCUK stickers on them lol)

Those guys were a bit humourless - if I'd found an SCUK sticker on my land rover (assuming I ever bought one) I'd leave it on.
Probably because it'd be the only reliable thing on the vehicle...

Personally Ive been off roading mine for nearly 10 years and only ever had it on its side once and that was on the road! As long as you drive carefully you will be fine. I might consider a "kiddy saver" roll bar, but thats about it. If I was going to roll it a lot I might go full cage, I would probably go external as it would protect the body as well as yourself
