Hello All
Re: Hello All
Hi All
spent a very hot sunday giving my new girl a very good clean with the pressure washer. ready for the
new bushes and the waxoyl. i will be buying the new bushes on payday (always good).
heres some pics:
and
when i was looking around her i found these in the glove box.
do you think my 6 year guarantee against inside and outside corrosion is still good?
now i was think of buying some bull bars for her! what do you all think? i will match them in black and add spots.
thanks again all.

Re: Hello All
I personally love the look of SJs with bullbars... they look that little bit for off roady...
Also, if the worst does happen and you do have a bit of a crash it will take most of the impact and leave you with just a couple of dents

Re: Hello All
Exactly. If you should happen to lose control and two wheel your way through an old biddie's fence, twice, you can easily get away with just a couple of minor dents and scratches, though you will be on the market for a new bullbar afterwards. Just spotted a rust spot on the drivers front arch. JUMP ON IT! Mine's pretty tidy everywhere else, but I've got a big hole hiding behind my little plastic arch flare.
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: Hello All
Yup, bullbars are cheaper than bodywork
Edit: I did have some until they had a nasty encounter with a tree

Re: Hello All
Just wondering, what model does it say on the logbook? Apparently if it's a 410v it's one of 26 of them registered in this country

Re: Hello All
um... not to spoil your fun, but I looked into bullbars a while ago, apparently its illegal to fit after market bullbars so unless it orginally came with them.... Something to do with them causing more damage if you hit a human.
But then it doesnt seem inforced and people are always fitting them, so up to you. Personally I prefer Edweird's style more than the rap-around ones.

Re: Hello All
Samurais came with the bullbars as an optional extra out of the factory... therefore you are allowed to fit them.
Its aftermarket stuff made after those regs were passed which are the grey areas.
I've had my winch bumper for yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaars honest officer
