No idea why the last guy put the return to the carb but thats sorted now lol.
The main pick up is laying over the front and has a small electric inline fuel pump (which u cant see in the pic) Ive removed this hoping that the vacume pump on the engine will work? Unless the 410 have a fuel pump in the tank? Im not to sure?
Thx for the pics btw, great help

Thats the idle up system. The SJ also has this system, it's fine to leave it off.
I can check the wires colours if you want to connect it.

Cheers Darrell, we've been fitting my old 1.6 carb into my dads maruti and I couldn't for the life of me remember exactly how the fuel pipes were plumbed the other weekend and couldn't find any decent pictures or diagrams. It was ages ago that I took it off and its such an over complicated carb

Understatement! SU - fuel in, breather, overflow, vac advance. Most jap cars of the era ran very similar carbs Hyundai, subaru, daihatsu. They all die in the end. I've tried most in the past, they work for a bit then break. Even the manual choke ones.
Vit carbs aren't quite so unreliable luckily.

I will take a pic of these plugs and show ya as they look alittle out of place, Thx for ur help so far. I will have anouther 3 hour play with it tomorow to see if i can get it going. Apart from a live wire hanging down near the starter not wanting to connect to anything and a dead starter motor its just about there
