Yeh there cool, to valuable for off-roading.
I'm going to do away with my lockers and fit spools front and rear I've decided.
Aim for this truck is relierbilaty, cutting out weak links is what I'm trying to do

its crazy to think the yanks made something like 700,000 of them. did mr rover have one at his beach house after the war and used it as the base for the series 1 landy?
it makes sense to if your only gonna use it offroad. how do the spools work? i've heard about them but never come across them

Spools lock the left driveshaft to the right one permanantly, so you don't have a "differential" anymore. Left and right have to turn equally, no matter what.
Utterly terrible for road use, probably even illegal, but utterly superb for drift cars and offroad only vehicles.

I want to find a complete spool not a mini spool.
Don't want standard carier I want to upgrade the whole lot.
Want to find one you literally bolt the crown wheel too

You want someone to make you one of these?
I should imagine it wouldn't be difficult if you had the skills and tools - just take a pair of side gears, grind them down and weld them onto a shaft of the right size, then some kind of plate to attach it to the ring gear (vice-versa really, but you know what I mean).
I'm sure Richard could do it, it's just - does the man have the time?
And is all of that going to be worthwhile vs a mini spool?

Anything welded wouldn't be strong enough
Would need to be machined
Il see what's what il low my lockers up then worry about it
