Got my new high lift jack so work is a lot easier, carbs are on and now I need to make up a mounting bracket for the pipes...

did an engine case today in some BBQ paint...apparently it's better and cheaper than normal high heat paint (which I know doesn't work at all). Looks good so far...

Well the engine casings were no good. One side was the wrong type, and yes it was the one I restored so that got sent back to the chap I bought it off and he sent out the correct one...so that is now restored! The other side the dipstick sheared off and that went in the bin...a replacement has arrived. The new clip ons FIT!! They are on as is the master cylinder...a good day today and my back was a lot better too!

Crap. I had an email earlier and my race bike upgrades are NOT allowed. I have to run the standard forks and wheels. So the plan is to fit the YPVS bits to Elsie and I guess fit the best pads to the standard discs that came with the RD. I can however use the new clip ons and rear sets so that is a good thing.
So it's mallable iron wheels (even though they are alloy) lol.

Put on another engine casing today and made a start on the seat and tank...but as I was moving the race bike this happened to Kawazonkey. Arses.

Remember this? Got the chain and sprockets on, rear wheel on correctly now with the right spacers, front wheel off ready for the new tyre to go on. Mirrors on as well...starting to look like a proper bike now...
