So not an update but I'm unsure if I'm happy with my wheel and tyre combo.
1st decision is do I stay 33s or go to 35s? Can get a decent deal on the same tyres, albeit larger, I have on my blue sj which I'm really impressed with. the pic shows a 35 on the front and my 33 on the back. They won't be the 35s I buy, just used it for an idea.
2nd decision is do I do away with the 10" rims and use some 7" alloys, more force from the tyre for lower pressures. If I wanted I could swap the tyres from the black steels onto the 7" alloys without buying more tyres.
What I'm not happy about is, the tyres I bought (get really good reviews by the way) aren't a true 12.5" so they're abit skinny on a 10" rim. So I thought I'd buy some 7" or 8" wheels. These alloys came up at a semi reasonable price so I thought I'd give them a whirl.
There was also a 3rd option, but I think iv talked myself out of it. I bought some very cheap 16" alloys, found some cheap tyres 315/75/16 (34.6") for £125 a tyre. Though I'm unsure on the tyre and to get the 16s to clear the caliper I'd have to shave abit off the face of caliper or use wheel spacers. The 16s are the flat faced alloys with road tyres

Long awaited update. Had a few hours there today. James has been busy also. Fingers crossed she comes home tomorrow to be finished in my garage

Well she's home.
Not a proper side by side but you can sort of get the idea, blue ones wheel base is 84" green one is 91" (roughly) you can see how much longer it is in comparison. It also looks alot higher but it's only an inch higher, more camera angle than anything.
So now it's time to get everything under primer and then seal up all the welds. Then sort bumpers and mount lights etc.

Nice she’s looking good!!
Only just saw the tyre post. I’ve gotta say swapping to narrower tyres on blue really improved the performance, SJs are so light they tend to float on 12.5” wide tyres.

I think I will look for some 10.5 tyres and use the alloys I have. Then sell my 12.5 wheel and tyres on.
