Looking good. That will outlast the rest of the SJ. To be honest as your using 2mm plate I wouldn't bother using the angle iron (on arch) as well, it will be plenty strong enough with out that (just thought it may be a rust trap inside the arch). Yep, sure got your monies worth out of them discs. Keep up the good work  .

I picked up two Cobra bucket seats and decided to have a go at fitting them yesterday.I didn't have a lot of material to work with so used what I had.I wanted to keep the original runners so both me and Mrsnewtomud could drive it.

The passenger side was easy but the drivers side needed spacers so the original seat adjuster spring could sit right.

Like I said I used what I had. I made the holes about 20mm so I could weld them from both sides.

I've now given the steel a coat of black hammerite. The bolts that go up into the seats are from my spare T-box mounts.

Loving the last step, except I would have been sitting in the new seat with it ;)

Looks good, probably what I will do when I get some new seats

 Yep, your right, but two things..1.You really don't want to see my ugly mug on here and 2. the door opening is 29 inches from the ground and it's a hard enough job getting in and out without worrying about spilling my beer :hahaha: (I'm not as young as you Twiss)

Funny thing is I travelled from wolverhampton to Leicester to pick up the seats and today I saw a pair of cobra bucket seats in a junk shop..200 yards from my house.. Bummer.

Just realised... My post count is >>>413<<< :rockin:
Ordered my new fuel tank :o) Keeping it Suzuki
