right, this is he last thing before mot, apart from the tracking lol,
decided the engine isn't right, smelling really rich. and just can't get it to run right, and drank 6L of fuel in about 20 min, and getting a pop if you give some. (timing?)
tested commpression, all 4 spot on
as it had new oil filter and plugs and oil so I've put new - leads - arm - cap - air filter as well.
runs a bit better, but no cigar
i think its all pointing to the su carb as the problem, after cleaning the plugs and then running for a bit, they where black again,
and the choke doesn't seem to do any thing at all, but it used to need it to start. i currently have a bdl needle and yellow spring. i bust the gasket on the pot so i have to get a new one.
my question is, shall i get a rebuilt kit rather than just gaskets and do the lot, as i think there may be another problem with it, and if i do ill get a new needle and yellow spring as well, but which needle shall i go for? or stick with the bdl.
