Fails =i had been trying to sort it but ran out of time then was out all night on call and my dad took it for the mot, and didn't have chance to put it right. oops

i had left it one castle nut loose trying to find the hole for a split pin, and forgot to fit the rest of the split pins, oops

head lights, i knew about

there wasn't much meat left on one of the u bolts, i knew about

Advisory =

the steering bar -if i had painted it he said he wouldn't have noticed, but i forgot and he did, so he asked to have the welds turned down , and he will check i have when i take it back.

split pins - i forgot

:screwy:

so today, I've been sorting it out,

u bolts replaced - job done
head lights being done when i take it back - job done

found out why i couldn't fit the split pin, found a snapped one in the hole, so left that with my dad today

so all I've got left to do is paint the steering bar my dad had sorted out on the weekend for me, as i was working. And put the steering back together

woohoo will be able to finish it in the morning and book it back in.

:double thumbs:

oh tester said its running a bit lean, he recons quarter of a turn should do it, so shall do that :salute:

Don't know yet, got to get used to it, it's pretty crampt, going to have to fit different seats, smaller ones, it's going to be a issue long term.

Few things became apparent during my trip out to get the tracking done,

Speedo Does not work properly, goes up to 10mph and that's it. Not quite sure what's up there.

And some thing still ain't right with the carb, much better than it was, but checked the damper oil when I got back, no oil, even tho when I fitted it last week it was topped up all fine, so believe that's the issue.

Might swap the needle and spring into my other pot and try that tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Yea being crampt is definitely a kja issue.

Try raising the seat first if you can spare the headroom. Im not a tall guy at 5"10 but i found my left
Leg the most awkwardly placed in the kja due to the height of the clutch pedal and the seat being that bit to close.

On longer journeys i would put my left foot up on the tunnel by the gear stick
