Got a "mobile" mechanic in to do the rear disc conversion work and to generally do bits and pieces to assist me.
Half-shafts out and new bearings to go in.
Correct front pads arrived so hope to get the calipers on to complete the front system.

In the meantime I have wire brushed the tank guard, followed by 2 coats of Kurust and an epoxy primer.
Plan is to paint with Hammerite next.

With fingers crossed, gentle tapping the sender unit retaining ring rotated slowly but steadily. Even got the feed connection undone OK.

Rear disc conversion 95% completed.
My mobile man worked swiftly. Well pleased.

Have ordered new exhaust and spent long time locating fittings.
Today, rain permitting, will be doing rear loom repairs and getting the high level brake light installed.

A little bit done before the next shower.
High Level Brake light drilled and screwed into position. Existing wires extended to go across and down on the left side where i plan a connector so hardtop can be removed. Was not too happy with how the earth wire to the demister is attached and it's connection to the window itself. But rain stopped play for the moment.

Took some time to remove the existing "Earth" wire from the Rear Window Demister. Even longer to remove all the 'glue' that had held it in place!!
Decided to maybe re-use the wire but do new end connectors.
Also planning to totally redo the wires from the fuel sender and the connection of those into the main loom. An order into 'Vehicle Wiring Products' will match all the colours up, no problem.

The observant amongst you will have noticed the colour 'gold' appearing.
This follows on from the days when I had a Lancia Montecarlo.
