The amount of 'glue' to hold the demister earth in place and a dodgy connector.

Busy day with 'odds and sods'. Grinding the existing rear earth points back to bare metal.Kurusting rear chassis area, Etch priming same.
Dismantling towbar, cleaning up, 1 coat of Hammerite oniy and front anti-roll bar.
Start to cleaning up rear bumper, which was painted with a product that is proving very difficult to remove.
2 coats of gloss on new tank.

With the rain beating down and looking set for the rest of the day, planned items were postponed. Mobile mechanic had other work so no loss for him.
I started to look at things I could do, basically wiring. Matching up colours etc.,
Did not think you would want a picture of the puddle by Sammy, so no pictures today.

Bits and pieces done on "Sammy". Not a lot as family pressures kept time to a minimum.
Fuel sender 'loosely' back in the tank opening but ring not fully in position yet. Wiring attached but not wrapped as yet.
Did some work on the rear wiring fitting new connectors. Am replacing rear number plate lights with LED units. Existing fixing holes were 50mm apart, LED ones are at 54mm. The joys of this type of activity!!

Hopefully more tomorrow.

Bit more done. Rear bumper getting cleaned up. Difficult to remove whatever coating had been applied by previous owner, but slowly but surely we are getting there.
Some etch primer on 15" alloy before application of colour.
What with rain showers and strong winds not a lot done for time spent.

Work on Sammy ground to a halt for a few days but a bit of sun and things started to move again.
Rear bumper has some primer on it now. Lots more work needed yet.
20240306_145825.jpg
Internal fittings for hardtop being replaced as I have been unhappy with those fitted. First fix needs some fettling yet.

Front passenger side on the hardtop has moved out from the body a little so working out how to fix that so no gap!!

Personal thing of mine. Daytime running lights.
Trial fitting without having to modify the front grill.
