Got my sugar. Now in the bin as no bugger wanted it lol. Will trim them down, fit into place and hopefully with a bit of filler the light surrounds will be err, round again.

With at least another 5 days of 30+ here it's doors off time. But I have fashioned a mirror onto the side pillar. It's great for looking at my elbow...
And I finally treated myself to a new toolbox!

Sorted the mirror and had a quick go on the rear wing. Some filler had fallen out...
Then went to a local bolt supplier and bought about £60's worth of stainless Allens. I have been getting them off eBay but this place sells them at about a third of the price!

Sick to death of the drivers summer door not fitting. Found a local place and the chap there straightened up the hinges for a drink (fiver). Now closes as it should!

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
Yesterday was fun. Driving home in the pissing rain a windscreen wiper fell off! Pulled over walked back to pick it up as some twat in an Audi runs over it. Put it back on using the wipers sparingly, got to a dual carriageway and it fell off. Pulled over in a lorry parking area, got it put it back on. As I got back in the zook a black Ford (new) parks in front of me, thought nothing of it but as I pulled away they followed (2 blokes). I was doing 25 in a 60 zone so I could try and see where I was going and they followed for 2 miles like that. Then a roundabout, they followed, then I turned into a motor factors car park...so did they. I parked, they parked opposite. So I just sat there with one hand on a tyre iron to see what would happen. For 5 minutes nothing. So I went over to them. Knocked on his window and he pretended to be startled. 'Why are you following me?' 'Not following you mate' 'Really? So you normally do 25 in a 60 zone then? You cops?' 'No and I always drive slow'. Then his mate started getting a bit narky so I sat back in Piglet for 30 minutes until finally they left. Still no idea what they were doing....and the bloody factors had no wiper blades!
Got a new one today but at 13" it's too long. Ordered a 12" one. Then the throttle pedal fell off...
But an easy fix...then finished the wing...not perfect but looks good enough for now...

And onto the bonnet. About a litre of evil paint stripper (wearing a mask and goggles even outside) and most of it is done. Getting low on green paint now so it's going to be black...why not?

Got it in matt black to highlight any issues and wow there a are a lot. But all fixable and almost no rust at all, I'm stunned.
