I think the springs are a little tired.
But given it's about to clock 190k I'll cut it some slack :doublethumbs:

The general grabber tyres and worn suspension makes for some comical body roll if hooning is attempted.

But with heated leather (swanky) and soft springs it's a mighty comfy place to be on the road.

The question is tho ,

Did I enjoy it more than an SJ?

I'd say it's close but I'd say an sj is more of a giggle due to how awful the ride is. And how revvy the engines are.

To compare the two is night and day.

The discos low range is very low and most stuff is done under 1500rpm due to the big old clacking tdi
Under the bonnet. Diff lock was seized from probably never being used all it's life so it was open centre diff which was fine. It's all stock so it's still got front and rear anti roll bars.

It's a fair sized motor and the arse end drags a bit.
But its on old springs and was 4 up so I'm not surprised.

Had a chap in a ex army 90 following me as he had never been before and figured if I can get the discos lard ass round a 90 would get round fine
