DRIVERS FOOTWELL sj413 SAMURI 1986

Just finished plating and welding the front of drivers footwell on my samuri 413 sj
is it unusual for it to go just there ???????

I have an '88 SJ413 and my footwell has a leak so needs a plate welded in over the summer.

Both footwells are common rot places.
