Hi there!
I´m a "ZuK" fan from Finnland.
I´ve owned a unmodified SJ413 for some time but it was buried to the backyard for many years for lack of time and proper place for repairing. Last Aprill i finally got a chance and a place to rebild (read re´weld it) and got it to fit between register plates.
So far the only modifications i´ve done to it, yet, is largening the body so that the 235/75R15 tires will roll on it.
Next summer i´we planed to do following things:
- skid plates under transfer case and tank
- some kind of exoframe
- lift the car 1.5"-2" by spring/shackles, method i´ve not yet decided.
Good commentry specially on how to lift wisely the car, id be glad to hear about.

Nice zook! Been to Helsinki quite a few times and it gets a bit nippy there.
Welcome to the club.

Welcome to the club.
Shackle lifts aren't a particularly good way to lift it, especially on standard springs. A good set of aftermarket lifts springs or YJ springs seem to be getting more popular.
Went to Helsinki a couple of years ago to see Motley Crue, possibly the most amazing city I've ever been too.
Where about in Finland are you from?

I live about 80km north from Helsinki in a place called Hausjärvi.
Helsinki is a bit of smaller when compared to London

Hi and welcome to the club! Very nice high top you have there!!!
As Jordi says steer clear of shackles, set of nice springs is well worth the investment!
Edit:
I should add that I was running 235x75r15 tyres on standard wheels for ages with a 2" lift and 30mm wheel spacers for ages and found it to be a good combination of height and width,

To Jordi: did you mean anus Wrangler YJ springs on Sj413?
I,ve not heard that it had been used here, must find out for curiosity if that is roadlegal her in Finnland.
Well, one of my plans was not to lift only with shackle but use them with aftermarket spring like Oldmanemu. Those who know can tell if those springs (say +40mm) will work with standard shackles?
To Twiss: i, ve used on winter old Nokia Hakkapeliittas (235/75R15) and they have fitted there with original wheels and with no spacer though i have to admit that there isnt to much extra space for tires

Hi and welcome.
I would try the lift springs with a standard shackle and see how they perform.

If the springs are slightly too long like then a longer shackle can help but keep the only make the shackle hole centers up to 100mm apart
Yeah would have to check on local regulations regarding the YJ conversion as you need to modify suspension mounts... I know the spanish are pretty hot on that kind of thing so other countries may be as well
