fuel tank bolt on or clip?
fuel tank bolt on or clip?
not long had my sj 413 which i now know is spanish looks like the fuel tank is rusted out, looked on e bay seems to be two different types of sender unit screw on and bolt on,is there any way of telling what type i have without having to dismantle tank?
Re: fuel tank bolt on or clip?
you might just about be able to see the sender unit with the tank still in place but the best bet is to loosen the 2 bolts then take out the other 2 bolts allowing the tank to drop a bit so you can see. bear in mind though that spanish & jap senders are also wired differently. if i remember correctly spanish have 3 wires and Jap have 2 wires!
as long as the sender has the correct amount of wires it shouldn't matter whether or not it is a bayonet type fitting or screw in sender.
