Hey guys, im going to be jacking up my sj 413 at some point but am still looking around for different kits. Ive found a lift kit for a fairly good price and wanted to check with you lot if it is exactly what I need to go from standard to around a 3" lift. Would really appreciate any input. Thanks alot

Avoid lift shackles as they will just ruin your springs.

With 3" lift springs fitted you will need to get extended brake lines, probably longer shocks and most probably prop shaft spacers.
Its also worth getting a new set of 'U' bolts to go with new springs. And you'l prob need a new set of leaf spring bolts as they tend to sieze in the bushes and normally need to be cut to get them off.

Lifting a truck is not cheap but if done properly it will last..

Llama 4x4 is a really good company, just phone him and tell him what you want to do and he will tell you what you need. Make sure you got some time to spare though

i wouldnt hesitate to recommend dave hes a top bloke, but Ive got the +2s not the +3s
What made you decide you want a 3" lift?

Oops I meant 2" lift sorry. Im crap at typing on this thing! Will that still need the brake lines extending, steering rack and new shocks aswell? I stil need to get around to see u twiss, are u around tomo eve?

Also does anyone have any experience with 4x4tyres.co.uk? They have some pretty good wheel/tyre packages

You can probably get away with the standard brake lines on a 2" lift
Ive got a standard hose on the rear (single hose to axle, i imagine yours is the same) and its OK with my 2.5"... but i do have the extended hoses on the front... (i ordered them from llama4x4, same time as the springs)
if you decide not to get them at the same time, put the springs on and then flex the suspension with a jack/engine hoist and check the hoses to make sure they aren't stretched out

You should probably get some extended shocks as well as the standard ones will probably reach full extension before the springs hit full flex..
Steering should be OK. It changes the steering angle a little bit but my steerig setup is standard and its perfectly driveable

I got my 31s from tyresdirect.... they arrived with no issues.
I got my wheels from 4x4tyres.... they sent 3 correct and 1 odd... took 2 weeks to sort it out
was not impressed!!! Although I know of other people who haven't had problems with them

Ok cool, that sounds pretty good. Im looking at doing it myself when it comes to it, so the less snaggy problems like that the better! With out sounding too rude, would u mind telling me roughly how much it cost u to get urs looking the way it is now?

You need extended front brake lines with 2" lift springs, they aren't long enough at full droop.
