My starter motor has suddanly died
when i turn the key it just clicks. I tried tapping it with a hammer and managed to get it going once, but now its not having any of it.
Is it possible to fix it, if i take it apart? or is it just a case of getting a new one??
Cheers

Yes it is possible to fix it yourself.
One question. What is the starter from? 413? 410?

hi, could just be voltage drop through the ignition switch, very common on suzukis.
try running another wire from the battery positive to the small slide on connector on the starter solenoid, if there are 2 of these just try 1 at a time. the other 1 is just 2 help cold starting so wont hurt if u get that 1, if it is wiring problem and not starter motor when u touch the terminal, with ignition off it will crank the engine, with ignition on it will fire up so make sure its out of gear,
cheers kev

Cheers for the help guys.
I got home from work this afternoon with the full intention of striping the starter down to see if i could fix it. But i tried starting it first, and it started first time. Now it seems fine and works every time.
Sods law though, next time i drive out into the middle of nowhere it will probably start playing up again.
