Hi i own 51 plate grand vitra 2.0td which keeps blowing indicator / reverse light fuse checked all bulbs earths even changed indicater relay ok till to start car then blows fuse any suggestions pls help

Welcome to the club.
I can only advise chasing the fault down with a multimeter .
I have taken the relevant sections from the workshop manual and coloured a few points to clarify connections a little.
There is different 2.0l diesel engines fitted but I hope/assume the indicators/reverse circuits are the same.

Could be a chaffed wire somewhere that shorts out when it moves with the vibration from the engine. I’m afraid something like that usually takes a lot of chasing down.

A worn wire causing a short would be my guess too.

Why do these people ask questions so we spend 20min extracting/cropping/converting and we never hear sod all again. This is not an isolated example

I can only guess he either found the problem, and forgot to come back to say thanks, or his GV detonated and now he's *unable* to come back...

I have these manuals in my collection (pdf only) What you after.
I assume any diagrams would be from the 1998 print (yours being a 2000), unless they did any more workshop manuals before the 2004 print ??
