hello fella's I need a bit of help with my son's ignis. I know nothing about these cars so I imagine I mmay be on here quite a bit lol.

he's bought a 1.3 ignis which i know requires a new steering rack as it is all over the place. All bushes etc look in good condition. he's had the tracking done as that was the initial thought. steering rack is currently on order and will be replaced asap.

Now the issue is that the back tyres have since scrubbed themselves bald on the rear from the centre to the outside of the tread. Is this symptomatic of the knackered steering rack affecting the alignment of the car's suspension? I've never seen rear tyres do this so any help would be appreciated.

Has the car been lowered? is there a chance the camber on the rear is out of spec?

Its unusual that the rear tyres have gone like that, its not had a shunt up the rear at any time in the past and shifted the suspension out of true ??? more than likely you have more knowledge about cars than what i do.But its a possibilty of a rear ender.
