sj floor/sill rot..

well its do or die for my sj.. having got the body off the chassis i'm starting to think that it just might be too much rot to save. For the past 15 years its had a crude 50mm box section lift, which is now :yuk: only 2 of the 6 floor pan mounting bolts remain and i fear these 2 will disintegrate when i try to remove the rusted on spacers.. sills are both rotted through with a hole by the hand brake..
and then their is the chassis?? rear leaf/ body cross member outer box section that holds the front of the rear leaf is again rotted both sides :weld:
i have recently acquired a 150 amp mig but my welding is.... turdlike? was hoping to do a virtual lift on the arches and 75mm angle sills but replacing all the captive body mounting bolts.. in the right place seems a little tricky

any ideas welcome :doublethumbs:
and i cant seem to upload photos as there too big.. great.. not good with plastic brains :bawling:

Without seeing photos its hard to say but I've seen some pretty rotten ones saved. It's not too hard to make up replacement stud mounts welded through the repair plates as you have the chassis for a template to get the spacing all correct.

Get on it. As several members can vouch my body mounts were rotted out, and wheel arches, bulkhead, few more floor sections. The usual.

I just got the grinder out and cut away. Replaced it with new steel and put bolts through.

Any can be saved with enough new steel and welding.
