Lining up the steering wheel?

Guys,

Since increasing the ride height (2 inch add-a-leafs) my steering wheel is no longer straight.

What's the easiest way to line it up again? Take the steering wheel off and realign it or do something under the engine?

Thanks

Probably take the steering wheel off and re-align?

I did this only last weekend to clean my horn contacts. Here's my comment at the top of the page that I posted on YT, which you may find helpful :D

'syyenergy7' likes to ramble some, but he's a good guy and knows his Sammi inside out!

When taking the wheel off leave the nut on while you pull it! Otherwise you will bash yourself in the face!

Absolutely, that's what I said in my YT comment, also forgot to add, I've removed half a dozen wheels over the years and never needed a hub puller so far.

Am I right in thinking you will probably need a steering spacer? Which would explain why the wheel is now out?

I'm worried by taking off the steering wheel and putting it back on square with the wheels that it won't sort out the indicators. (Basically to drive straight my wheel is pointing at the 10 o'clock position. Which means it's slightly difficult to indicate left as it's on the 'biting point')

What's a steering spacer? Thanks

Scottie will be along soon no doubt, but im sure you have to fit a spacer when rising the suspension, or the linkage gets too tight and will bugger the steering box?

It depends, 2" lift or adds leaf you are generally okay without having to change your steering I.e. you shouldn't need to use a drop pitman arm. As for your steering wheel, I'm pretty sure the indicator operating peg (the bit that cancels indicators) is part of the steering wheel by re centralising your steering wheel you will re centralise the peg too, I'll check on my spare steering wheel when I get home,

Here's my spare S/W, Tramps correct, the pins are oriented at the zenith and nadir on the wheel, or straight up n' down
